General Manager – Distribution Operations

The Opportunity
This is not a maintenance role.
We are building and stabilizing a high-volume distribution operation serving the automotive collision repair market. This General Manager will take full ownership of site performance, team leadership, and operational execution.
You will inherit a functioning operation that needs strong, steady leadership and a culture reset. The expectation is simple: run a tight, accountable operation that delivers for customers every day.
What You Will Own
You are the leader of the building. Full stop.
Operations Leadership
- Own daily performance across receiving, inventory, picking, shipping, delivery, and returns
- Ensure orders move accurately and on time in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Establish structure, discipline, and consistency across all shifts
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline teams
- Build a culture of accountability, reliability, and trust
- Assess the current team and make decisions to strengthen the bench where needed
Last Mile & Customer Execution
- Oversee driver operations, routing, and delivery performance
- Ensure on-time delivery, order accuracy, and strong customer experience
- Partner closely with sales and customer service to support growth
Inventory & Process Discipline
- Maintain tight control over inventory accuracy, bin integrity, and flow
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures
- Drive continuous improvement across efficiency, quality, and cost
Financial & Operational Performance
- Own site-level P&L, labor, and operating expenses
- Track and improve KPIs across productivity, service, and cost
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and eliminate waste
Safety & Compliance
- Lead a safety-first environment with full OSHA and DOT compliance
- Set expectations and enforce standards across the operation
What We’re Looking For
This role requires a leader, not a coordinator.
- 10+ years in distribution, warehouse, or logistics leadership
- Proven experience leading large teams in fast-paced operations
- Experience owning or heavily influencing P&L and site performance
- Strong operational discipline with the ability to build structure and accountability
- Comfortable making tough decisions to improve team performance
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems and performance metrics
