Second Shift Production Supervisor

Confidential Search | Northeast Indiana

$65,000–$75,000 | 4:30 PM–3:00 AM

We are recruiting a Second Shift Production Supervisor for an established industrial manufacturing operation in Northeast Indiana.

This is a true shift-ownership role. The supervisor will report directly to the Plant Manager and lead all second-shift production activities, with responsibility for safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and day-to-day execution.

The current team is relatively small, but the shift is expected to grow significantly over time. We are looking for someone who can not only run the operation today, but help build the structure, accountability, and team needed as it expands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all second-shift production activities and employees
  • Set expectations, coach employees, and maintain accountability
  • Train and develop new and existing team members
  • Drive performance in safety, quality, productivity, and attendance
  • Resolve production and equipment issues as they arise
  • Ensure consistent execution of SOPs and plant standards
  • Identify and implement practical process improvements
  • Coordinate effectively with the Plant Manager, HR, maintenance, and other departments
  • Remain hands-on and visible on the production floor

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior manufacturing supervisory experience with direct responsibility for employees and production results
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently manage a production shift
  • Experience building employee accountability and developing teams
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment
  • Steel processing, metal fabrication, coil processing, or similar heavy manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an entire production shift and have a meaningful impact on how it develops.

The successful candidate will have significant autonomy, direct access to plant leadership, and the opportunity to help build a growing second-shift operation rather than simply inherit a mature one.

This search is confidential. Additional company and operational details will be shared with qualified candidates during the recruiting process.
