Production Technician II – Diesel Engine Builder

Location: Parker, CO

Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site

Compensation: $23 to $25 per hour + overtime opportunity

About the Opportunity

We are expanding our production team at our facility in Parker, CO.

This is not a typical repair shop role.

You will be part of a structured remanufacturing operation, where diesel engines are completely disassembled, inspected, rebuilt, and tested to meet or exceed OEM specifications. The work combines hands-on mechanical skill with precision assembly in a production environment.

If you enjoy building something the right way and seeing a finished product leave better than new, this is your lane.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble heavy-duty diesel engines, including pistons, crankshafts, fuel systems, turbochargers, and emissions components
  • Follow detailed blueprints, work instructions, and torque specifications
  • Perform precision fitting, alignment, and measurement of components
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality and compliance with OEM and EPA standards
  • Perform testing such as leak checks, pressure testing, and initial run-in procedures
  • Troubleshoot build issues and work with quality and engineering teams to resolve them
  • Document builds, serial numbers, and test results in digital systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation aligned with 5S practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

What Good Looks Like

  • 2 to 3+ years of hands-on engine assembly experience
  • Diesel engine experience strongly preferred, especially heavy-duty or Class 8
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and assembly instructions
  • Experience using torque wrenches, hoists, presses, and diagnostic tools
  • Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

What Will Separate You

  • Experience rebuilding engines, not just replacing parts
  • Familiarity with fuel systems, emissions systems, or turbochargers
  • Exposure to dyno testing or advanced diagnostics
  • Experience in high-volume or process-driven environments

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 70 lbs
  • Work in an industrial environment with noise and moving equipment
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts as needed

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $23 to $25
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Benefits begin the first of the month following 30 days

Highlights include:

  • Medical plans through Cigna PPO network (multiple plan options including HSA eligible)
  • 401k with 100% company match up to 6%
  • Health Savings Account with up to $1,000 in annual wellness incentives
  • Company-paid life insurance and disability coverage
  • Dental, vision, and supplemental insurance options
  • Paid time off based on tenure

Why This Role Matters

This team is building the foundation of a growing operation.

The people brought in now will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop advanced diesel engine expertise
  • Grow within a structured production environment
  • Be part of scaling a newly acquired division
