Business Systems Project Lead
ERP & Technical Initiatives (Business Central Focus)**
Compensation: $110,000 to $140,000 base salary, depending on experience and scope of ownership
Overview
A growing organization in the diesel aftermarket and remanufacturing space is seeking a Business Systems Project Lead to drive multiple technical and operational initiatives across the business.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role in a flat, fast-moving environment where teams are lean and expectations are high. You will not be managing from the sidelines. You will be expected to step in, solve problems, and move projects forward across ERP, systems integration, and process improvement efforts.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in environments where priorities shift, ownership is real, and progress matters more than process.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive multiple concurrent projects across ERP, systems integration, and business process improvement
- Ensure initiatives stay on track and move forward despite competing priorities
- Play a key role in the ongoing implementation and optimization of Microsoft Business Central
- Partner with internal teams and external resources to ensure successful execution
- Work across operations, finance, manufacturing, and distribution
- Translate business needs into actionable system and process improvements
- Identify and remove project blockers
- Step in directly when needed to keep momentum and avoid delays
- Support system integrations and data flow initiatives
- Collaborate with technical resources to ensure systems communicate effectively
- Bring structure where needed without overcomplicating the environment
- Balance organization with speed and practicality
- Facilitate alignment across teams in a low hierarchy environment
- Influence outcomes without relying on formal authority
What They’re Looking For
- 3 to 7 years of experience in a business analyst, project lead, or systems-focused role
- Hands-on experience supporting or leading ERP implementations, ideally with Microsoft Business Central or Navision
- Strong understanding of business processes in manufacturing and or distribution environments
- Experience managing or contributing to multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, less structured environment without losing direction
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across both business and technical teams
- Proven ability to identify issues, take ownership, and drive resolution
Preferred Experience
- Experience with systems integration, APIs, or EDI processes
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI
- Exposure to tools such as Azure DevOps or similar project tracking systems
- Background in automotive aftermarket, parts distribution, or remanufacturing
Why This Role
This is not a traditional project management or business analyst role. You will be expected to step into a dynamic environment, work across multiple initiatives, and directly impact how the business operates and scales.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership, influence outcomes, and play a key role in shaping systems and processes in a growing organization.
The Right Fit
This role is best suited for someone who:
- Prefers action over process for the sake of process
- Is comfortable working in ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Wants to be hands-on and involved, not just coordinating from a distance
- Takes pride in moving work forward and getting things done
